This semester a great source of information and a vital starting point in my research project was Early Canadiana Online. Although the documents are sometimes hard to decipher and/or sift through, using the author names of primary sources to further research was invaluable to me.
A few questions that arose for me over the semester appear here, and I intend to use the resources I have relied on over the semester to assist me in finding answers for them.
How can we use our knowledge of pre-Confederation history to prevent repeating past mistakes?
In what ways have the oppressive institutions we learned about this semester remained in our society?
What can we learn from primary sources that secondary sources fail to impress on us?
What can we learn from secondary sources that primary sources cannot tell us?
